Local graduate and future mechanical engineer Nate Huey is enjoying some of life’s greatest moments.  Nate has been a part of his high school Robobots team at Cochranton High since 9th grade.   The school provides experiences in CAD, CAM, CNC, and robotics as part of their academic program.  Through this process he has designed and manufactured robots which has taken their team all the way to nationals for 2 years running.  On top of having a 4.0GPA and Solid works certification, he has spent his last 2 summers employed with JBM Technologies, a machine tool distributor with manufacturing solutions in automation and robotics.  Nate says that “The technical skills I learned in robotics transferred in the real world for engineering applications.” Nate has provided both robotic design and manufacturing efforts where his knowledge of job ready engineering skills has him well on his way.
